Twice a year, once in the fall and again in the spring, Altrusans help organize an auction of collected items. Residents use “Appletree Bucks”, which they have earned through participation in activities in the home, to purchase the items. Collected items include greeting cards and stamps, decks of cards, cologne and perfume, purses, Kleenex, toiletries, vases of flowers, books, and other items of interest to seniors. Network Seniors Net In the late fall, we begin to plan for Christmas baskets we prepare to donate to seniors through NETWORK each year. Members shop for items we know seniors need and love, find and purchase the baskets, then gather to fill and make them ready for the Christmas season. The Richardson Public Library Book Rotation
