New Members Committee (a.k.a. Sophomore Sisters) will conduct the club's Make A Difference Day Project:

In honor of Make a Difference Day, Altrusa Richardson will support Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, one of the nation's leading pediatric centers for the treatment of orthopedic conditions, certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia, with a literacy project focused on enhancing the lives of these children through reading, which is a great way to escape the treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation these children encounter every day. Book donations will be presented to the hospital executives and children to support literacy, the international focus of Altrusa International.

Join us for Brunch at Sherrie White's home for a morning of friendship and service. We will be labeling books as donated by Altrusa Richardson and sorting the over 1,200 books for delivery to Scottish Rite Hospital on October 30, 2013.
