Culture in the Core Festival

Culture in the Core gives us an opportunity to visit with Richardson residents from all different cultures in our city - and to share with them the news of Altrusa.

We will have a six foot table, a tent and two chairs - good idea to bring a chair, but there probably won't be much sitting.  There will be a toss game and prizes, but we are most interested in speaking with women who are looking for ways to become involved in volunteering - and having fun - in our community.  We found one of our star new members there last year - Tina Tran.

There will be two shifts.  We will need two working the table and as many as we can find to circulate and talk to people about Altrusa.  Wear your teal shirts.  Laura Trainor-Collins is preparing a couple of ice-breaker, intros for starting conversations.  

The first shift will be from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m., and will include helping set up our booth.  The festival begins at noon.

The second shift will be from 2:00 p.m. until after 4:00 p.m., including tearing down and packing up.
