Community Outreach: Cancer Blanket Presentation & Photo Op

We are presenting 24 fleece blankets made by Altrusans to the Methodist Richardson Cancer Center for cancer patients. This is our first project with the new hospital and it would be great to have as many members as possible attend. The blankets were requested by the hospital to offer a bit of Altrusa Love and comfort for cancer patients. Since the Retention Committee is having their Lunch Bunch on this same date, we are joining forces for a greater community service impact. The Lunch Bunch will be delayed from 11:30 to 12:30 so that everyone can participate in both events. We will meet in front of the Methodist Richardson Cancer Center at 11:30 for the blanket presentation and then car pool to Frankie’s Mexican Restaurant located at 2701 Custer Pkwy, for a wonderful lunch at 12:30. If you plan to attend both events, please be sure to register for the lunch as well.
